In Earnest? No, Just. . .

You all know that Josh Earnest is the White House Press Secretary.

But did you ever think about the juxtaposition of those two names applied to one man?

What do I imply?  Nothing whatsoever.

And, I've thought Bob was just a fried of yours, Vanilla. Ha! A family I was close to growing up were Grace and Ernest. They named their daughter Faith, but couldn't find a quality name for the son, so he was Steven. I always thought they should have gone with Francis (Frank). One of my favorite cartoons, too (Frank and Ernest). I'm not touching the name in the post. I do know a girl named Verily.

Sharkey, I had a ggrandfather Francis who was called "Frank" and I had an Uncle Ernest. Family nearby whose kids were Jack, Peter, and Bunny. Can you guess their last name?

Not making fun of Mr. Earnest's name, but it does seem somehow to fit in with his current occupation.

If Jack, Peter & Bunny weren't members of the Rabbit family, they would have to be from the Hare clan.

Chuck, yep. They were Rabbits.

My paternal grandmother (Jack's wife) was Frances. Of course women aren't usually called Frank (in any sense?) She was always Francis, never Fran or any other diminutive. I'll have to get her on the blog one of these days.

Sharkey, I look forward to meeting Grandma Frances. (Are you suggesting that women are incapable of being Frank? Or am I inferring something you did not imply?) ;-)
