Ain't it Funny?

Related image

While we were eating lunch a few moments ago, Narvel Felts came on the background music singing, "Ain't it funny how time slips away?"

I listened for awhile, turned to Mrs. W and said, "Looking back at age 83, it ain't so darn funny.  Where did it go?"

The tear still dampens the side of my nose.

Wojciehowicz reads description of the missing horse:  Brown eyes, brown hair, about six foot three, weighs 1200 pounds.

(Twinkle in his eye)   How about we don't tell them its a horse, Barn?

Barney: We better tell them; they might find someone.

Oh, man.  I loved that show.  Always cracks me up.

Forward Thinking

Philippians 3:12 - 4:1.  Paul continues his admonition to the church at Philippi.

Religious practices will not save.  Only through faith are we saved.

God changes lives.
Christ offers transforming power to develop the image of God within you.

Don't look back.
Remember Lot's wife. (Luke 17:32)

God delivered the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt.
Yet they moaned, Let us return to Egypt.
They were in bondage to their bondage.

The Prize:  Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Seek His face; become what He wants you to be.

Leave the things of the world behind and run to Me. --Jesus

Our citizenship is in Heaven.
Don't forget who you are in Christ Jesus.
Don't forget whose you are.

Pastor's declaration over us:
You will stop listening to the voices of the world.
You will listen to the Voice of the One that matters,
The One who needs you;
He who gave Himself for you.
