Next Year

I’ve no record book or almanac in front of me, but how many times have we heard all the ballyhoo and bushwa about the “superbowl” only to observe on the first Sunday of February that one or the other of the teams fails to show up?

I just looked up the 2014 Super Bowl winner - I see what you mean but isn't that the usual way?

I'm not much into football but, since living in Colorado, I cheer the losses of a team that is connected with John Elway.

Last night's game reminded me of H.S. football games when our grandson's team was playing a team from one of the little Kansas towns that had just enough high school guys interested in football to make up a team. I always felt sorry for them and wanted them to make at least one touch-down. I started to feel that way about the Bronco's while watching the game last evening.

Grace, it seems to me that that is the case more often than not.

Vee, why the animosity toward Elway? I didn't bother feeling sorry for anyone. Turned it off well before halftime.

I guess I just saw too much of Elway on TV. A little of his arrogance goes a long way.

Vee, what? Competence, confidence, and arrogance are not all linked in the human personality?
