Van Zandt, Springsteen, and McCartney were jammin' in a finale at a Hyde Park concert in London and authorites "pulled the plug" when they went over the curfew.
"Ashamed to be British right now," quoth comedian Stephen Merchant.
And there is the typical British "humor".
Well, I mean, they are the "greatest artists of the past fifty years."
And no one thought to pull the plug fifty years ago.

Wow. There's a whole lot more out there that deserves plug pullin' and they do it to these guys??? Wow.
Lin, it is stunning when one thinks about it. I was just sorta spur-of-the-moment poking a bit of gentle fun at rockers, Londoners, and Brits in general.
Obviously, these guys are of the rule breaking generation, and someone had the power to do something about that. Yea for the plug puller!
Vee, generation notwithstanding, these guys are of the belief, as apparently most people are, that rank and prestige places them above the rules. Historically, I think that has always been.
