Hollywood's Self-Aggrandizement

In record time. The Oscars ended at 10:38 CST, meaning it lasted less than forever. And since the ten o'clock news had just ended (on another channel which we watched all evening) we tuned to whichever network got stuck with was carrying the Oscars just in time to hear someone say, "I want to thank Billy Wilder, and I want to thank Billy Wilder, and I want to thank Billy Wilder." Whoever that is.

Night, All!

I'm always amazed at the fuss everyday people make about watching those award shows. Why? It's like paying to walk a golf course and watch someone else golf. It's just weird to me. And not very entertaining. Don't those people get too much attention already?

I don't know who Billy Wilder is either.

Lin, yeah; I don't get it, either. But, as the saying goes, to each his own.

Grace, thanks for the link. I looked at the filmography. You are right. I have seen three, maybe four of his movies.

btw, since my hard drive is fried I will not be posting for a time. Have to rely on others for 'net time.
