Again, you can't make this stuff up

Little old woman (83) and little old man (80) dawdling along in their little old van
failed to signal a turn at the stop and caught the eye of alert 'Braska cop.

The officer's partner, drug sniffing dog, alerted on the car, miasma, a fog
the aroma of marijuana so strong that Ma and Pa were in cuffs ere long.

Presents, they said for the kids in the east but they'll be detained at the very least
through Christmas.  Have a merry one, you old poops.

How Art Happens

I:  (After sitting for excruciatingly long minutes working across the table from her.) There. I finished the picture for the Christmas greeting.

She: Looks like the work of a six-year old.

I: That hurts my feelings.  (Not kidding.)  Look at it again.  What do you see?

She: A palm tree and a guy on a camel.

I: (Feeling validated.) Exactly!

She:  Okay; eight-year old, then.  So if that is a wise man, where are the other two?

I:  Read the bubble. (Holding it closer to her.)

She:  Hey.  Wait up!

I: It was easier than trying to draw three wise men.

Merry Christmas, Mrs. Warr

She is getting something for Christmas!  But it is possible that she thinks old Bob has forgotten her.  *Tehe*

I sneaked into the city while she was engrossed in one of her mystery novels, wrapped the puppy* while she was at the grocery store, hid it away until now.

So this morning, I will say Merry Christmas to her.  Saying the same to you now.  But I am not giving you a present.

*A manner of speaking only.  It is not really a puppy.
