Announcement from Farmer Jones to his livestock:
Sorry, kids. You will have to fend for yourselves in the morning as it is much too cold for us to get out and pitch hay, fill feeders, break ice on the water tanks, or relieve your bulging udders. Good luck.

Yeah, but nobody seriously suffers when the trash pickup is delayed a day or two.
Jim, maybe the weather things are a little edgy, but it is all in fun. For sure, I would not like to be a trash collector out on this day-- or anyone else whose work takes him outdoors. Brrr!

I did have to laugh at the two phone calls and the text to tell me that it is cold outside from the school to let us parents know that the kids need to dress for the cold weather.
Anyone ever have to tell your parents that? Not mine. Are people getting dumber? or does the school think we are dummer?
