Well, I see your point, but I'm not sure. Sidenote: I am not opposed to "paying for what I get," but for a guy who raised his family in an era where six bucks would seat one along the third base line, or two bucks would buy a first-run movie, today's prices seem absurd. I have been to plenty of free museums ...Hmmmmm....<br /><br />I have been to plenty of free museums and attractions and while I agree that it limits accessibility, sometimes I prefer the paying venue. It's better kept, less crowded, and I find it more enjoyable. Here in Chicago, we have to pay for attractions, but many museums offer a free day.
